Woodward finished 7th in his Special.  This car went on to greater glory driven by Don Hulette.  Hulette replaced the Jaguar engine with a fire-breathing Chevy V8, and even more significantly, added 4-wheel disc brakes from a wrecked XK150.  The resulting Special was a first rate contender that could beat a Scarab on a good day.
