Bill Dixon

#3077 with its original Maserati 6-cylinder engine in 1960. For
1961, he figured Chevy V8 power would make his beautiful car more competitive.
At Pomona,
July 8-9 1961 he appeared with the 351 cid V8.
Now with plenty of horsepower he ran
with the leaders in the early laps, but didn't finish. |
