This was the first 12' high wall we'd completed. Note bolts in upper
left to hold crossbeam later.
By the time Larry & I finished this
wall, we had pretty much figured out the techniques for building this project.
If we had it to do over we could do even better.
Larry had spent years collecting stones
in the desert. These stones were selected for color, size, and
having one flat "face" which would be visible in the wall. Some needed
two, or even three men to position properly.
This was easily the most satisfying project
of my building career. It was also the last. |
