John Brophy -- Fiat Crosley H-Modified
Brophy, well remembered for his many drives in his black
Devin SS-Chevrolet and later in Old

In the "Novice Race", he won class "H-Modified" (for cars under 750cc.
displacement) racing against other beginners.
From historian Ron Cummings:
"Walker
Edmiston was Willy the Wolf on KTLA, Los Angeles, and later became a
television actor on shows like Gunsmoke. His Miller-Crosley was Don
Miller's third chassis. Walker sold this car to John Brophy. Brophy later
advertised the car for sale as the "H Bomb". Walker had Jack Sutton
