Beautiful pre-war  Mercedes-Benz W-163 GP car on display by course diagram.

Can anyone ID any of these gentlemen? 

Did the car run demo laps or was this a static display?

"It was the 25th running of the German GP.  Fangio ran a demo lap in the car.  I can still hear the glorious sound of the desmodramic valves echoing through the forest!"
