of the split fuel tank (when it fell off of the transporter).
The car was a beautiful car designed by some of the best ex-Ferrari engineers.
Note the cantilevered front suspension (like the Lotus), and the
many holes drilled for weight. The problem was that this "Italian
Lotus" as Phil called it, lost the backing of Count Volpe and his
investors before all the bugs could be worked out." |
