The 1962 Corvette was the first with the 327 V8 engine and presaged the coming 1963 Stingray with its streamlined tail.

At the March 3-4, 1962 Riverside SCCA event, Briley (shown here rounding turn 6) finished 3rd on Saturday behind winner L.E. Randolph (Your webmaster can't place this driver!) and Paul Reinhart, both also in Corvettes.  He DNF'd on Sunday.
