Moss led the 1961 "L.A. Times Grand Prix" at Riverside On Oct. 15, 1961 until he dropped back, and then out, with mechanical problems.  He won both heats of the "S.F. Examiner Pacific Grand Prix" at Laguna Seca the following weekend.
