Two Cobras lead Dave Selway in his Chevway Special

"Warming up" the sodden, freezing crowd for the Can-Am to come, two Class "A" Production Cobras lead Dave Selway's Class "A" Sports/Racing Chevway Special into Turn 8.

(2-14-12)   From Erik Zurbriggen:

#2    427 Cobra -- Dick Terrell
#86  289 Cobra -- Elliot Forbes-Robinson

(2-17-12)   From Rich Blackmarr:

"The Nov. 9th, 1968 Autoweek issue has the story on the Laguna support races under the heading "Dick Terrell sloshes Cobra to wet Laguna Regional win."  In the ASR, BSR, CSR, AP, and BP feature, Selway had an early lead (retired Lap 10), followed by Carstens' Stingray (crashed final lap), and Terrell's Cobra.  Bob Allen's BP Cobra finished 2nd, while Gary Burke's modified 289 Cobra captured ASR with 5th overall position.  There is a photo of Dan Harper rolling his #36 black & white AS Falcon (same one running in May sedan race) in Saturday's A-B sedan, C-D prod race won by Frank Search's Camaro."
