Pro Sedan cars in
Turn 1
This photo shows the field
for the "Pro Sedan" race held May 4, 1968.
The green grass of spring differentiates
the May, 1968, photos from the dull brown grass of the October shots.
Since the Jim Serniuk slides were unsorted, that was the easiest way to
differentiate between the two events.

(2-14-12) From Rich Blackmarr:
"To my eye the "Laguna
Trans-Am" photo that I previously commented on and this photo show
several of the same AS (and BS) sedan racers and may be the same race.
This photo shows an AS and BS field of
cars including Ron Grable's Dart partly obscured by the berm near the front.
Don Peck's yellow #4 Mustang identified in the "Trans-Am" photo is also
in this group, as well as a blue Falcon with white stripes and a couple
blue Camaros (same two from JHawes013?).
At the rear are a Cortina, BMW 1800, and the #67 blue BS Porsche 911 also
shown in JHawes0062 and JHawes0068.
The #69 white BS Porsche 911 with red stripes on the rear deck is leading
#67 and Grable in JHawes0068. I think
that the white #69 Porsche is the one shown in the TransAm picture, which
also has green grass by the way. I don't know the driver of the red
#11 Camaro in JHawes0061, but I noticed that
the rear fender appears to say Ellis Brooks Chevrolet, a San Francisco
dealership." |
