Jon Burnham
Wasting away in Margaritaville?
Not likely. My old drinking and cross country hitchhiking buddy thrives
in a hedonistic enclave south of the border.
Jon flew observation planes in Vietnam
and had a career as a securities broker.
He actually kidnapped me once, tossing
my passed-out cuerpo into the back seat of a stolen car and taking off
for the east coast. It ended up being a great trip and I guess I
have to thank him for it.
I still can't believe the things Jon,
myself, and our friends got away with in the old days.
Now ensconced in his comfortable, well-stocked
beachside home, Jon hosted 2003 New Year's festivities featuring forms
of wildness I haven't experienced much of lately.
Here's Jon
in the 1970's. |
