Steve Schmidt -- 1958 Porsche 356 / Ranson Webster -- 1960 Porsche Abarth

Schmidt finished 5th in his 1620cc. car; Webster came in 3rd in his 1966cc car. 

Schmidt's car was once owned and raced by historian (and frequent website contributor and consultant) Ron Cummings.
 

Ron Cummings on his Porsche racing years: 

"My buddies and I built and raced a Devin bodied Chevrolet Special that I drove in a training session at Riverside in 1961. We switched to Porsches in 1963 and even won a Pacific Coast E Production Championship in 1965  with a Porsche Speedster that I owned. 
 
I drove in some Novice races, even beating Ozzie Poule (not sure how he spelled his name ) who was driving Doug Hooper's '57 Corvette at Del Mar."
