From NorCal racer Chuck Tannlund:

"I see that you would like to learn the history of the Webster Specials.

Mike Ruckman worked with us at Huffaker Racing in the 60's until he left to take an offer from Marvin ( Web) Webster. He and Web and Web's son Marv ran first a hobby shop building the race cars and later as a manu- facturer of replacement gears for Hewland gearboxes.

Web had BIG bucks as he had invented the transducer in WWII and collected handsomely on the royalties and patents.  Web died and the company went to his son Marv, but then he died prematurely and Mike wound up with the business."
