Mac Archer

raced his 427 Cobra at the Monterey Historic car races at Laguna Seca and elsewhere.  Previously, he competed in motorcycle events as an entrant and before that as a rider.

Mac Archer passed away on June 18, 2007.   He will be missed.

Here's Mac with Carroll Shelby at the Pebble Beach Concours.

He was an M.D. and was involved in advanced safety research for the U.S. Air Force, and for motorcycle and automobile racing use.  He lived in Pebble Beach with his wife, Kim, and son Shreve Jr.

Great shot of Mac in the pits with his Cobra and a young visitor.

Mac inspired your webmaster to create this website during a conversation we had at the "Wine Country Classics" historic races at Sears Point Raceway in May, 2000.
