Gurney's NASCAR Ford in an interesting spot on the Riverside course:  The short straight between Turn 6 and Turn 8.  Here Gurney exits Turn 6, with its huge and well-populated grandstands and powers downhill toward Turn 8.  NASCAR cars avoided the tight Turn 7, with its need for hard braking.
