Note Scarab trandporter.  With the second Scarab not yet ready Lance Reventlow offered teammate-to-be Chuck Daigh a ride in his 1500cc. Cooper.  Reventlow had previously raced this car himself.

Daigh finished 2nd to Jack McAfee in Saturday's Under 1500cc. qualifying race, then DNF'd on Sunday with a broken rotor.
