Dr.
George Snively -- Austin Healey 100-6
California State Fairgrounds,
Sacramento, California, September 30, 1956. Dr. George Snively, head of
the Snell Foundation (racing helmet research) rounds Turn 6 in his Austin
Healey 100-6 on his way to 1st in Class, 3rd Overall in the Governor's
Trophy Race.
(1-28-10) From Rick Neville:
"I think the picture of Dr. Snively's Healey provided by Ron Yates
here may be in error. The pic identifies the car as a
100/6, taken in 1956. The 100/6 wasn't released until 1957.
Before the 100/6, Snively raced a 100M and the louvered hood and
supports for the fold-down windshield of the 100M identify the car in the
picture as the M. The car appears to be properly
identified here." |
