Hill finished 2nd in this race.  Here Hill leads Bill Murphy in his Kurtis-Buick and Max Balchowsky in Old Yeller I.  Note nine-foot tall shirtless giant in spectator area.

"Yes, it is Palm Springs on November 4, 1956.  Hill was 2nd and the car is George Tilp's 0570, an 857 Monza.
