Bigioni, of Belleville OR, finished 8th in his 4178cc. Offy-powered Roadster.  Over thirty of the classic front-engined Indianapolis cars appeared at this year's Monterey Historics.

Mid-engined cars, already dominant on the European Grand Prix circuit, appeared at Indy in the mid-1960s and ended the roadster era.
