Hardison, of Phoenix, AZ, finished 16th in his 5550cc. car.  The three Echidnas were quintessential homebuilt Specials, created over a long Minnesota winter by three friends out of the most mundane parts.  They were fast.  Even with their cut-down Chevy car frames and other crude components, they could challenge Scarabs on a good day. 

Hardison leads Anthony Wang in his 3000cc. 1958 Ferrari 250TR "Testa Rossa".  Wang finished 15th
