What is it?  I have no idea what Abendroth's car actually is, but I've heard that it has an interesting history.  A mutual friend suggested to Abendroth that he contact me with info: I hope he does that as I'm fascinated by this car.  Its beautiful shape evokes Dick Thompson's wild Stingray Prototype from 1960, and it corrects the biggest shortcoming of Thompson's car: it has disc brakes.

Abendroth spun in Turn 8, creating a problem for Orme in his Corvette and #40, Nivk DeVitis in his 1966 Shelby GT 350.
