From Bill:   "My grandfather, Dr. J.K. Skivington, in his pristine MG-TC, the "Shrimp Boat" (too bad the pic isn't in color as it was a beautiful shiny two-tone paint job of Black and Chinese Red with a thin pinstripe of white separating them."

(Looking in Art Evans' "Pebble Beach" book, pg.114, I see this photo of the car in the 1954 Pebble Beach program -- it's identified as an MG-TD.  ???)
