1955 Hagemann-Jaguar
& 1949 Parkinson-Jaguar
Bernard Juchli in his 1955 Hagemann bodied
Jaguar Special leads John Buddenbaum in the 1949 Parkinson-Jaguar Special
through "Infineon's"
Turn 2. The two excellent drivers in equally-matched cars had
spirited battles for the lead both days. Juchli won on Saturday with
Buddenbaum 2nd. The positions were reversed in Sunday's
final with Buddenbaum victorious.
The two cars represent the era when independent
craftsmen saved weight by discarding the heavy, standard Jaguar XK120 bodies
and housing the potent Jaguar drivetrain in lighter, better-handling chassis.
