Jim Castle, Jr. of Carmel, CA, drove the ex-Joe Freitas 4700cc. 1957 Corvette to 11th place.  Freitas was a top southern California Corvette driver in the early 1960s and was a friend and protege of Corvette and later Cobra master Dave MacDonald.
