"On the limit" racing as Brown and Walton chase Redman through Turn 5.  The Scarab probably had more horsepower from its larger 5555cc. engine, while the Chaparral was lighter and had the advantage of disc brakes.  The net result today:  evenly matched competitors.

Harry Heuer, who drove both cars with his "Meister Brauser" team, praised his Scarab's handling, but added that his Chaparral "was always trying to kill him".
