Group 3A -- 1947-55 Sports/Racing Cars Over 2000cc.

These are the cars that popularized sports car racing in the early 1950s.  Jaguar, Allard, Ferrari, even Alfa Romeo and Talbot.  They were the main event winners of their day.  Click on thumbnails below to see larger images.
 

Phil Hill drove this 3000cc. 1953 Alfa Romeo. Race winner Charles Nearburg in Turn 5.
Bob Lytle in #65 Cad-Allard in Turn 5. Peter Read's Aston Martin DB3S and Jim Herlinger in the Mercury Flathead powered Baldwin Special.
Rick Hall's very rare 1950 Talbot Lago T26. Bruce Lustman's 1954 Ferrari 340 Mexico.
