Mac Archer of Carmel Valley, CA, finished 3rd in his 7000cc. 1965 Cobra 427.

During Sunday's race Mac was slowed by a distributor drive problem.  The problem slowed the car and also manifested itself with spectacular bursts of flame from the Cobra's exhaust pipes.  Unfortunately, your webmaster's camera battery died and he couldn't record this spectacular effect.  So he had a friend create this Photoshop fake -- which looks a lot like the real thing!
