Hall in the corkscrew.  Your webmaster remembers well Hall and teammate Phil Hill's victory on aggregate in the Oct. 16,1966 Can-Am race at Laguna Seca.  The team finished 1st & 2nd in the first heat of the race, and 2nd and 3rd behind hard-charging Parnelli Jones' John Mecom Lola-Ford in the second.

Parnelli drove an incredible "on the ragged edge" race in the second heat after DNF'ing in the first.  He came from the back of the field and with an incredible move passed BOTH Chaparrals for the lead in Laguna Seca's old Turn 3.
