Another look at the 2J.  The car was banned after only four Can-Am events as it was as much as two seconds a lap faster than the quickest other entrants. 

Your webmaster remembers seeing this car in 1970 (before it blew its 494 cid Chevy V8 engine in Turn 2) and it was uncanny in the old Turn 9.  It rounded that tight (much tighter than Turn 11 today) hairpin -- cornering like a slot car.
