Flaherty finished second at Laguna Seca in the June
5th, 1960 mixed event for Modified Cars under 1500cc and the
then relatively new Formula Junior class.
No mention of where Cowherd finished. Also, I can't ID the
mechanical-failure casualty parked trackside.
In today's world such a breakdown would bring on a full-course yellow
flag situation.
