Photographer/racer McAtee finished 4th in Saturday's Group 6 race.   He and his Datsun would have run Sunday's race too, but a replacement starter motor arrived too late.

On Sunday morning I drove out of Monterey on Highway 68, and when I reached the turn for Laguna Seca it was raining hard.  So I chickened out and went home.  Braver souls than I, like my photographer friend Dennis Grey, persevered.  Dennis covered the event for "Sports Car Digest".
