Alder is well-known for driving his Jaguar to and from racing events.  On 9-15-17 I saw Alder in his Jag driving south on Hwy.395, just south of Lone Pine.  Since Alder lives in Reno, he must have driven his open-cockpit racing Jaguar south the length of the Eastern Sierra, one of the most beautiful drives in the world.
