Ak Miller
is a famed hot-rodder
and a Mexican
road race veteran. He was a frequent winner in the sports car
class at the Pike's
Peak hillclimb in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
He often ran his enormously powerful
hillclimb car in West Coast races in 1961. The car had a
Devin
body and a 7 liter Oldsmobile engine. AK MILLER -- OBITUARY
Ak started strong at
Pomona
on July 9, 1961.
He led off the line and battled
Don
Hulette, Bob Drake, Bob
Edmison, and the other front-runners until he DNF'd.
These great drivers in their V8 powered
titans put on a fantastic show for the spectators.
