Jerry Grant jumps into the lead in his #8 Lotus Mk.19-Buick; Dave Ridenour is next in #146, his Genie-Oldsmobile.  At the finish, Monterey Peninsula drivers Chuck Parsons (#10 Lotus Mk.23) and Don Wester (#60 Porsche RS61) were 1st and 2nd overall.
