The ex-Pat Bryan Monza Today

For the 1963 season Bryan installed Chevy power in the Monza #0538M.  It was faster, but still not fast enough to challenge for overall wins.

The V8 engined Monza ran mid-pack.

Website visitor Bob Parks remembers Pat Bryan:

"Just a little info.  When I was 14 I remember meeting Pat in a garage on the alley behind a house on Rinaldi St. in Granada Hills,  CA.  They were putting the Chevy motor in the car at the time.  I think it had Manafre 4x2's (?? TM) and Bryan was nice guy.  I always wondered who he was and the history of the car. Thanks for your website."   Bob Parks

Bob describes the "Manafre 4x2":   (11-29-04)

"The Manafre induction setup was made by a company I believe was in the San Fernando valley and it used four modified Rochester 2- bbl carbs on custom manifold with the carbs over the intake ports.   See this item on eBay."

The beautiful car was restored by David Smith and won its class at the Pebble Beach Concours in the mid-1990s.

It's now owned by Todd Morici, who races it in the Ferrari Historic Challenge Series.

Thanks to Bryan Phillips for the update on this significant car!
