Hall and his innovative Can-Am and USRRC contender had mixed results on the Monterey-area racecourse in 1968.  Hall finished 3rd in the May 5 USRRC event, then had a disappointing starting-line DNF (after qualifying 2nd) at the rainy Oct. 13 Can-Am.
