The Bill Krause Corvette Today
The silver #4 car (shown with #3 here) is owned by former Rockwell-Standard
(Assigned to GM's Corvette Program) Spring Designer Franz Estereicher.
He was on the team that improved the Rear Transverse Spring design.
(1-8-09) From Franz Estereicher: "I wasn’t assigned to
Chevrolet engineering until 1968 and immediately began improving the transverse
spring concept. In addition, I had design responsibility for all GM Corvette
service requirements for; leaf springs, stabilizer bars and coil springs
dating back to 1953.
