Denny Hulme -- McLaren M6A -- Stardust Raceway '67

McLaren steamrollered the competition in 1967 with their 2-car team of M6A-Chevrolet cars driven by Bruce McLaren and Denny Hulme.  McLaren dominated the CanAm until Roger Penske unleashed the turbocharged flat-12 Porsche 917/30 supercars in the early 1970s.

Hulme won the first three CanAm events of the year, at Road AmericaBridgehampton;  and Mosport.  Teammate McLaren won the next two, at Laguna Seca;  and Riverside.  It was only here, at Stardust Raceway in Las Vegas, NV, on November 12, 1967, that both cars DNF'd leaving victory to John Surtees in his Lola T70-Chevrolet.
