Dan Gurney's Lotus Mk.19B-Ford

The last of the Lotus Mk.19s to be constructed, this car was custom-built for Gurney with Ford V8 power.

The combination of Gurney's driving skill, Lotus handling, and Ford power made the "Pacesetter" a leader in the 1964 Fall pro races.  "Pacesetter" was a good choice for a name (It came from Gurney's sponsor "Pacesetter Homes") as the car often "set the pace" early in a race but was rarely around at the finish.

The car is owned and raced in historic events by Gordon & Nancy Gimbel.
