Jeffrey Butts sent me this photo of Don in his Porsche RS61 at Cotati in 1963. Wester drove this car to 2nd overall in the USRRC event at Laguna Seca on June 1-2, 1963. Fellow Monterey driver Chuck Parsons won the race in a Lotus Mk.23.

In 1965 Don campaigned this Genie- Ford.  Here he's leading Parnelli Jones in one of Carroll Shelby's Cooper-Ford "King Cobras". The Genies were world class pre-CanAm sports/racers built by Joe Huffaker for  Kjell Qvale's BMC of San Francisco. (Photo by Jeffrey Butts)
