Eric Weese's Mystery Car #2 -- The Lakester!
  
 
The owner identified the belly tank as originating from an F-16.  To your webmaster's eye it appears to be from a Vietnam-era F-105.  Note windshield and what appears to be a rear view mirror.  Why would a lakester need a rear view mirror?  Maybe to see if the parachute deployed properly?   As you can see, all the running gear is gone and what remains is the bare belly-tank.
 
 
These references were written on the left side of the "fuselage" just ahead of the cockpit.  They're visible (barely) in the photo above.
 
 
From this reference we can say that the car was probably Oldsmobile-powered.  If you can throw some light on this car's history (or would like to buy it):  Please email me!
