Shirley finished 13th in his 2922cc. car.  Ron Dykes raced a similar car in Northern California in 1962.  Bill Dixon added Chevy power to his Southern California car.

I think every photographer tried to incorporate the Rolex Crown into his shots.  This photo with the crown directly over Shirley's head is an example of luck rather than skill.
