These photos give a larger view of the Torrey Pines racecourse.
 

"The start of the Under 1500cc race, with Miles in front, followed by J.P. Kunstle and another Porsche, with Pete Lovely's Pooper (I think) in fourth. Not a good photo of the cars but it shows the layout of turn 1. I've looked for that eucalyptus tree that was on the outside of the turn, and once thought I'd found it. It is all scarred now with the pockmarks of errant golf balls."

"Turns 5 and 6.  Another photo that gives an impression of the track: Narrow road, no run-off space and, I think, only one escape road. And, lots of trees, and spectators who ignored the "Keep This Area Clear" sign."
