| From Trenor Stanley: "In 1958, I purchased a Corvette with
8,000 miles on the odometer from Washburn Chevrolet. It had the optional
250 BHP engine, and a four speed tranny. I drove it to the weekend
races around CA, removing the windshield and installing a rollbar.
My race number was 86. This photo, taken by Doug Noble, shows my
car in action at Santa Barbara. In that race, I came in sixth overall
in a field of thirteen Corvettes."
