Steve Earle in #614 leads Paul Reinhart in #6.  Earle, creator of the Monterey Historics, finished 7th.  Early contender Reinhart suffered mechanical woes and dropped back, staggering across the finish line 15th.

This photo should bring back a flood of memories for early 1960s "Corvette race" aficionados.  #614 was driven to many victories by Bob Bondurant in 1961.  The skill he demonstrated in this car led to his very successful profes-  sional career.  Reinhart, along with Joe Freitas a veteran of 1960s Corvette racing, drove this car in its period-authentic "Union 76" livery during the 1962 season.
