Parsons DNF'd in Carl Haas' Lola after 60 laps when he lost a wheel. 

John Cannon won the wet Oct. 13, 1968 Can-Am race at Laguna Seca in a much older McLaren M1B. He had the advantage of special rain tires not available to other competitors.  (Your webmaster was amazed when Cannon lapped the slipping-and-sliding factory McLarens of Bruce McLaren and Denny Hulme in this event.)
