Pete Lovely in the legendary
Ferrari
412MI. Lovely drove the car in practice, then turned it over
to Richie Ginther after Ginther's original ride, the Ferrari "hot rod"
(Ferrari 625TRC #0672 with V12 power)
suffered mechanical failure.
Ginther DNF'd in the race,
but set a top speed record on the back straight, 173 mph. |
