The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is a rolling museum that revs to life in 15 race groups throughout the four full days. This year marks a very special occasion: the 100th anniversary of BMW. There are more than 60 BMW race cars entered in the races and BMW North America is presenting its Living Legends Garage that tells the magnificent story of this Bavarian company.

SVRA returned to Sonoma Raceway for the Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival June 2-5 2016.   Racers and fans enjoyed a celebration of the 50th anniversaries of the Can-Am and Trans- Am series'.

Iconic historic racer David Love was honored at CSRG's  "David Love Memorial" racing event at Sonoma Raceways April 1-3 2016.  Interesting cars and spirited driving highlighted this entertaining event.

In the largest celebration this year, outside of Munich, BMW will celebrate its illustrious racing history and 100th anniversary of its founding at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, Aug. 18-21 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

"The Golden Anniversary of theCan-Am series will be a feature race at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion August 18-21 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.   Officially the Canadian-American Challenge Cup, this August’s field of Lolas, Shadows, McLarens, Porsches and others will have two separate grids of historic cars that competed in the series."

Race Groups announced for the 2016 "Rolex Monterey Motorsports  Reunion"!  This year's featuered marque is BMW.

James Dean scholar Lee Rasklin's latest book on the legendary 1950s film actor:  "James Dean:  On the Road to Salinas"    

It features a detailed account of the last days, and last day, of Dean, then 24. The young movie star was killed on his way to a sports car race in Salinas, CA on 9-30-55.
