Group 8 -- 1966-1974 Historic
Can-Am Cars
Maybe the wildest, hairiest racing class
of all time, the Can-Am series featured cars of unlimited engine size and
few other restrictions. The series attracted the ace drivers of the
era and the top constructors. The fun ended when Porsche out-engineered
and out-spent the other teams and crafted the unbeatable 917/30
cars. Everyone else quit and the series died.
