Sandy Beach

Stever & I flew to the Big Island where we had some contacts.  We ended up camping out at this beautiful, but isolated and hard-to-get-to hippie hangout.  I have no idea what's there now.  Probably condos and a marina.

Who's that idiot headed for the worst sunburn of his life?

Bad combination:  Tropical sun, no clothes, no sunscreen.

We had some lovely and entertaining company on those long, intensely hot, ultra-sunny, eternally summer-like days.

Too bad for Stever, he was already married by then.

Stever and fellow denizens at the "Queen's Bath".

These natural fresh-water pools formed in the lava fields behind the beach.  They were considered sacred by the Hawaiians and were reserved for royalty.
